take Wing Chun classes and after some research, I luckily found Central Wing Chun. It’s exactly what I was looking for: a lovely and very accessible teacher, a friendly group and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s all I need to feel good after work. We all learn at our own pace and after two months, I am really amazed by the things I am already able to do Arnaud Celeste - March 2011
train your movements and instincts into something that is efficient and always controlled. The relaxation leads to being able to control pulses of power at the right time. It's a cerebral art as you constantly think about redirection of force no matter how powerful.
Training with Neil at Central Wing Chun is a great learning experience as he is both patient and passionate about the art. He treats the Wing Chun as an art and attempts to put you in his shoes to understand the philosophy behind how and why the system works. Neil's approachable and clear manner encourages experimentation and questions to further your own techniques and understanding. Henry Chung - April 2011
I love that the better you are at it the more effortless the movements feel to you. It eliminates the advantage that a bigger, stronger opponent would have in most combat situations. I find the most interesting and enjoyable aspect to be the emphasis on sensitivity. Learning to repond to attacks without needing to look, but instead relying on what you feel is something that I had never come accross before learning Wing Chun.
Neil is a really great teacher, he genuinely loves what he does and passing on knowledge to other people. He is very good at adapting his teaching style to different people and works hard at finding ways to help you understand things in a way that relates to you. His passion is quite infectious and the result is that you can't help but enjoy every Wing Chun class. Carly Turner - August 2011
years I needed something different, something to fill the gaps. I found Central Wing Chun via a Google search over six months ago and have been training ever since! I enjoy the simplicity of Wing Chun and am impressed with its effectiveness in close quarters self defense. I'm not a big guy so learning something which doesn't rely on strength is invaluable. Most importantly, I enjoy the friendly collaborative atmosphere of the club and would recommend it to anyone. Adrian Gray - April 2012
